Congratulations to Lauren & Greg! This late November day was predicted to be rainy and cold, however, mother nature was smiling down on us. We had just enough time to capture some amazing images in one of the most photogenic locations in Cleveland….East 4th St. The Old Stone Church was an unforgettably gorgeous venue and the newly opened Ariel International Center was one of my favorite reception halls yet. Lauren & Greg were truly shining on their wedding day. Here are some of my favorites!
The full gallery will be posted in a few days. You can pre-register now!

This is my 2nd year capturing fun candid images for this great cause! For those of you not familiar with it, here’s the scoop: ‘Shop with a Cop’ or also known as ‘Cops & Kids’ is a charity event sponsored by various police departments, Chick Fil-A and Wal-Mart. The kids are assigned to an officer in their town, and they have breakfast together, ride in a police car (while playing with sirens & loud speakers), go on a shopping spree at Wal-Mart and finish off with pizza and raffle prizes.
I love shooting this event because I get to witness so many great officers in a different light. My favorite candids are the big tough guys shopping for dolls & pink boots. The kids, many of whom may not have had a Christmas at all, get an unforgetable experience. Some shop for food & clothes while others go straight to toys & electronics. It’s totally up to them, and the variety is fun to see.
Meet Gambit, a 1 year old K-9 unit pooch. Couldn’t believe he was already trained & certified for searches at ONE year old. Talented doggie! He even got his picture taken with Santa and scoped out all the shopping carts.

True love and genuine appreciation for each other. That combination is really hard to find. Every time I met with Gerald & Yvette, I could feel the connection, friendship and respect between them. I was moved at the wedding when the entire bridal party was teary-eyed with happiness. Emotion and genuine relationships are my absolute favorite camera capture, so….enjoy!

When you’re one…and just learned how to walk…why in the world would you want to stand still?! Landri was full of energy and fascinated by rocks, gum balls and presents, but had zero interest in the taste of cake. After some 300 action shots, we actually managed to get a few with her facing the right way and in focus 🙂 How? Fast & nimble photographer and very speedy camera. (LOL, that running hobby is finally starting to pay off).
In the end, all she really needed to be happy was a pair of daddy’s shoes!

In light of all the sad stories in the news involving kids lately, I want to offer a different kind of story. A happy one where kids get to know their friendly neighborhood police officers for no other reason than Christmas shopping and making wishes come true.
Today I had the opportunity of volunteering my photography services at a very special event: The 4th Annual Cops and Kids. Over 10 police departments participate in this great experience. For every $100 they raise, one child from a needy family goes on a Christmas shopping spree at Wal-Mart in North Olmsted. Each child was accompanied by an officer who donates his/her time to create a GOOD experience with a cop.
The kids had a blast, and although the video games were the most popular isle, some bought presents for mom, dad and siblings too. I saw quite a few shiny new bikes leave that store…and so many excited & happy faces! The highlight of the trip (at least for me) was riding in the cop car and playing with the sirens! The parade of cars brought people out of their homes to watch and wave.
Let me end with a big THANK YOU to all the police officers who risk their lives every day to keep us safe. Happy Holidays to all!

Nik & Shannon’s wedding was absolutely gorgeous from the dress to the flowers to the reception decor. This was my first experience photographing a wedding at the Shaker Heights Country Club, and it was one to remember. They did a phenomenal job and everyone had a big smile on their face. Enjoy the previews!

Two very different people found an amazing amount of happiness together. Stacey & Toni define the phrase,’opposites attract’, but they make it work and make it look easy. I was honored to cover their private Kalahari wedding, which had a fine blend of formalities and Harley Davidson fun & freedom. We started with Elegant Ambiance designed walkway with candles & floating flowers (and a little bit of sudden rain) and ended with video games and the waterpark. Enjoy the pix!
