Lessons learned: All kids under 15 are known as ‘Babies’, Vino tint &  Vino blanco are very important terms, raw coco seeds look & feel disgustingly like slugs, coconut is a natural laxative…yep not kidding, Dominican doggies are so very happy & free & EVERYWHERE, lizards pose for pictures while geckos play hide & seek around a tree, shade is incredibly hard to find especially when your skin is the shade of a big fluffy cloud, the actor Don Cheatle really doubles as an Outback Guide (seriously, I did a triple take!), always travel with bug spray & SPF 50, don’t drink the tap water, know your basic Spanish cause English is NOT understood, and the most important lesson….passion fruit margaritas are the best drink ever invented!!
